Considering Adoption?

Adoption is one of three options available to you, and it looks very different today than most people imagine. Choosing adoption is not giving up your child. It is making a thoughtful, intentional plan for your child’s future, with as much or as little ongoing involvement as you choose.

CPO is a fully licensed adoption agency with the state of Oklahoma. We have been supporting women and families through the adoption process since 1983, and we have been a licensed agency since 2001.

When you work with CPO, you are not being referred elsewhere. You are working directly with a team that has walked this road with families for decades.

You Stay in Control

One of the most important things to know about adoption is that the expectant mother remains in control of the process. You choose the adoptive family. You decide how much contact you want after placement. You can choose a fully open adoption, a closed adoption, or something in between. Nothing is decided for you.

Our team will make sure you know your rights, understand your options, and feel supported at every stage, not just through placement, but for as long as you need us afterward.

Support That Does Not End at Placement

Adoption is a lifelong journey, and CPO treats it that way. Birthmother support groups, professional counseling with adoption-competent therapists, and ongoing advocacy are all available after placement at no cost to you.

Many birth mothers stay connected with CPO for years, and our post-placement support is available to all birth mothers regardless of when or where they placed.

For Hopeful Adoptive Families

CPO also works with carefully screened adoptive families who are committed to open adoption, lifelong connection, and the well-being of the children they welcome.

Families complete a licensed home study, adoption-specific training, and a thorough application process before being accepted by our agency.
