At CPO, we know you may have many blanks to fill before your visit. Check out the answers to commonly asked questions below, and if you’re still wondering about one, contact us today.
When Should I Take a Pregnancy Test?
For an accurate result, wait at least one to two days after your missed period to take a pregnancy test. For a no-cost test, schedule an appointment at CPO.
Can a Pregnancy Test Be Wrong?
A pregnancy test can be inaccurate due to taking it too early, not following the instructions, or using a faulty or expired test. To improve accuracy, follow all instructions, ensure the control line appears, and check the expiration date before taking the test.
How Much Do Your Services Cost?
Our pregnancy and adoption services are offered at no cost to women facing pregnancy. You will never receive a bill from us!
We ask potential adoptive families to submit a $300 application fee to be considered, as this covers the time and administrative costs involved in interviews and application review. If approved and matched, we will discuss the costs of legal fees and other adoption expenses.
When Can I Receive an Ultrasound?
We offer on-site ultrasounds through the GoLife Mobile Clinic on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. To schedule, clients must first receive a positive pregnancy test at CPO, and then we’ll help you get a timeslot.
Do I Have to Choose Adoption to Receive Support?
CPO helps all women facing an unexpected pregnancy, regardless of the option they are leaning toward. We offer a pressure-free and judgment-free environment where you can talk in peace and receive information.
Does Talking with You About Adoption Lead to Any Commitment?
No, talking with CPO about adoption doesn’t lead to any form of commitment. We offer this option to women who truly desire this choice and are pursuing it. Our caring professionals are happy to answer any of your adoption questions without any expectations on our end.
As an Adoptive Family, How Long Does it take to Get Matched?
CPO can never guarantee selection or being matched with an expectant mom. The timelines truly depend on whether or not a woman seeking this option thinks your profile in the Life Book is the best match for her preferences and situation.
